What do Adi and Antya mean?

Adi Pushkaralu is the first 12 days of the Pushkaralu observance. The Godavari tradition is associated with Jupiter (Brihaspati) entering Simha, or Leo.

Godavari Antya Pushkaralu is observed during the final 12 days before Jupiter leaves Simha (Leo) for Kanya (Virgo). This tradition is why the current Godavari festival information spans 2027–2028.

These are two separate 12-day observances, not one continuous festival throughout 2027–2028. Confirm the precise transit time, local bathing access and ritual arrangements with the relevant panchangam, temple and district notices. Follow Maharashtra’s local Simhastha schedule where applicable.
