1. Bathe only at permitted ghats; stay inside safety barriers.
2. Follow queues and designated entry and exit routes. Do not push or spread rumours.
3. Keep children and older companions with your group; locate the nearest help desk.
4. Keep soap, plastic and ritual waste out of the river. Use designated collection points.
